Joe Thompson is a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at PrimeLending overseeing $1B in annually funded retail volume in Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, & Nevada.  A 21-year veteran of the industry, Joe’s passions include building successful teams, developing & promoting future leaders, and being an energetic & creative leader to drive increased production.  Joe is extremely active within the mortgage community as he currently serves on the Board of the Austin Mortgage Bankers Association as well as the Regional Board of Governors for NAHREP.  He is the former President of the Houston MBA and graduated from the National MBA Future Leaders Program in 2019.  Other accolades he’s achieved recently were being decorated as a Housing Wire Rising Star in 2018 and also selected to the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2019.  In 2023, his team was ranked as the #1 Place To Work by the Houston Business Journal and was the only mortgage company on the list.  Joe is an alumnus of Rice University where he earned degrees in Economics, Business Management, & Kinesiology while being an All-Conference linebacker and a four-time Academic All-Conference member.
